this work is my pride and joy, it was a month long process of developing the idea and making the hair peice as well as booking the photographer and models. Andreas and I spent a good two weeks around my working schedule developing the idea. It was inspired by some photographs i had collected over the years. We had a vision of a snail shell like hair do, but we wanted to do something with a woven/net effect rather than combed hair. With this vision we had been inspired by some bald models, and thought it would be amazing to have the hair almost hovering around her head, with the model being bald to draw your attention to the woven piece even more. In regards to make up, i kept everything super simple and then used my favourate limited edition red shu uemura lashes to pull focus of the only colour directly to her eyes. Andreas and I, overcame lanugage barriers to create this beautiful end result with the amazing and oh so very patient Aileen Lorenz as our model and Kris Baum as the man who captured our vision so perfectly and submitted the image to ‘Highlights magazine’ whom published the images in their next issue.
